Performative Stories

In the interplay between narrative and physical form, some objects offer what can be described as performative stories: narratives told through physical movement as well as words or images.

Performative Stories will feature multidisciplinary artists Dan Hurlin and Maiko Kikuchi; experimental filmmaker Janie Geiser; and photographer Jason Gardner.

Wild Leaves

Wild Leaves presents the works of Yura Adams, Katie DeGroot, Maggie Nowinski and Jacqueline Qiu, four artists whose creative practices are driven by a deep connection to nature and the environment. Like Patti Smith’s poem Wild Leaves from which the exhibition draws its title, the art on view captures the natural world’s mystery, majesty and vital regenerative power.

extraORDINARY things

Four artists reimagine domestic items into vessels of memory, metaphor, and identity. From photographic series and altered appliances to encased heirlooms and fractured porcelain, artists Qingjun Huang, Carole Kunstadt, Cheryl R. Riley, and Rob Strati elevate the extra ordinary into the extraordinary — disrupting function and sparking reflection.
